Speaking & Training

Engaging, Practical, and Thoughtfully Challenging

The best trainings do more than provide information. They create opportunities for reflection, meaningful discussion, and tangible changes in practice.

I provide presentations, workshops, and professional trainings for organizations, treatment programs, universities, healthcare systems, and professional associations. My speaking style combines clinical expertise, practical application, humor, and real-world examples to create engaging learning experiences that leave participants feeling both informed and empowered.

Whether presenting to a small clinical team or a national audience, my goal is to make complex topics accessible, relevant, and immediately applicable.

Areas of Expertise

Common presentation topics include:

  • Eating disorder assessment and treatment

  • Medical and psychological complications of eating disorders

  • Weight-inclusive and HAES®-aligned care

  • Harm reduction approaches in eating disorder treatment

  • Ethics and ethical decision-making in clinical practice

  • Fatphobia, weight stigma, and provider bias

  • Clinical supervision and professional development

  • Burnout prevention and clinician sustainability

  • Private practice development

  • Emerging issues in mental health care

Customized trainings can also be developed to meet the specific needs of your organization or audience.

A Focus on Practical Application

Participants consistently describe my presentations as engaging, approachable, and clinically relevant. Rather than focusing solely on theory, I emphasize practical tools, case examples, ethical considerations, and strategies that professionals can immediately integrate into their work.

My goal is to create learning experiences that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and professional growth while acknowledging the complexities clinicians face every day.

Professional Experience

I am a licensed psychologist, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Consultant (CEDS-C), educator, and clinical supervisor with experience across multiple levels of eating disorder care, including residential treatment, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and outpatient practice.

In addition to maintaining a specialized eating disorder practice, I serve as an Associate Professor and have presented nationally for professional organizations, treatment centers, universities, and conferences. My work focuses on helping clinicians navigate complex clinical, ethical, and systemic challenges while providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
